Shiny Chien-Pao Mystery Gifts Are Now Up For Grabs!
Shiny Chien-Pao is now available for players to claim via the in-game Mystery Gift function. In addition to shiny Chien-Pao, players will also be gifted a set of 40 Tera Shards, featuring four Tera Types with a spread of 10 shards per type.
However, shiny Chien-Pao won’t be up for grabs as a Mystery Gift freebie forever! Players who are interested in snagging these goodies will have to ensure they do so between the distribution dates of Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 5 PM PDT and Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 4:59 PM PDT. These dates have all been announced via the official Pokemon website.

How to Claim a Mystery Gift in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
- Launch your Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet game.
- Select Poke Portal on the X menu.
- Select Mystery Gift, then select Get via Internet to connect to the internet.
- Choose the gift you want to receive.
- Watch as your gift arrives in-game.
- Be sure to save your game.
Information About Mystery Gifts
• You need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet to claim this gift.
• To connect to the internet, your user profile must be linked to a Nintendo Account.
• It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of play time before you are able to access the Mystery Gift feature.
Shiny Chien-Pao Tera Raid Results & Shiny Ting-Lu
Shiny Chien-Pao being available as a free Mystery Gift is all due to player commitment. During the previous Shiny Chien-Pao Tera Raid event, players had the opportunity to meet a goal for combined completed Raids against the mighty Tera boss.
After a successful Tera Raid event period, the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet team confirmed to Trainers that they reached over 1 million Raids being completed, with an impressive 5,020,994 victories.
As a result, shiny Chien-Pao was put up as a Mystery Gift for everyone to enjoy – teamwork makes the dream work, Pokemaniacs! Furthermore, players also get to enjoy the bonus Tera Shards alongside Chien-Pao, due to meeting the milestone of not just one, but two million Raids being completed.
Following Chien-Pao’s Tera Raid event period, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have rotated onto the next in-game event. Right now, players have the opportunity to go up against the mighty Ting-Lu, which has a Ground Tera Type.
This Tera Raid event will be available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for players to participate in until Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 4:59 PM PDT.
Just like shiny Chien-Pao, shiny Ting-Lu can not be captured after a successful battle and will instead rely on Trainers meeting a set goal. If players are able to surpass one million shiny Tiny-Lu Tera Raids being completed, then shiny Ting-Lu will also be given out for free following this event via Mystery Gift.
The final total of player victories against shiny Ting-Lu is scheduled to be announced at approximately 5 PM PDT on the Thursday following the conclusion of the Tera Raid Battle event.
If this goal is successfully met or exceeded by players, then fans can expect the Mystery Gift distribution period for shiny Ting-Lu to take place between Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 5 PM PDT, and Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 4:59 PM PDT.
