As NetEase has opted to release multiple heroes with each new season of Marvel Rivals, new speculation regarding potential upcoming playable heroes and villains is always emerging. Following the recent launch of Season 4, fans are buzzing once again after new leaks point towards the possibility of several new heroes being a work in progress for the game.
New Potential Marvel Rivals Heroes – Professor X, Colossus, Elsa Bloodstone, Locus, & More!
According to leaker X0XLEAK on Twitter, a solid collection of heroes appear to have abilities currently in development, as of the Season 4 release on September 12. The list is as follows:
- Professor X
- Gambit
- Rogue
- Elsa Bloodstone
- Colossus
- Locus

However, X0XLEAK has also stated to remember that, despite what these leaks may indicate, some of these names may not make it into the game like players want them to. What this could mean is that there is the possibility they are developed as Accessories instead, such as the recent Polaris and Quicksilver reveals.
This information follows the recent breaking news leaks of Elsa Bloodstone being found in game files on September 13. Her codename, which was previously listed as Paste Pot Pete, has now been updated to reflect her proper identity, with her character ID noted as 1059.
Not only does this confirm her existence, but it also points toward her abilities being developed for eventual release. When it comes to Paste Pot Pete, however, there’s no telling what this change may mean. Perhaps he has been scrapped for Elsa Bloodstone’s inclusion entirely, or more optimistically, he may just be taking a sideline until a better opportunity to develop him shows up.
In addition to this, dataminers also noticed hints of Rogue and Gambit in Season 4’s gallery card artwork earlier this month. While subtle, these references have fueled speculation that both X-Men favorites could be joining the roster sooner rather than later, with many hints and expectations now pointing at their official arrival being Season 5.
